Tyler Ruise arrested for false imprisonment and sex with a child under 10

 


Tyler Williams Ruise was arrested yesterday on a Ramey warrant by HCSO for PC 236 false imprisonment and  PC 288.7(a) sexual intercourse or penetration, sodomy, or oral copulation with a child under the age of 10.

Ruise has a conviction in a 2018 domestic violence case. Arraignment  for this case is on 6/5. The DA has charged him with two counts of PC 288.7(a) sexual intercourse and sodomy with a child under 10.








6/5: At arraignment, PD appointed, $750,000 bail protective order signed and served. Prelim on 7/20.

7/20: Motion to continue by Public Defender granted. Preliminary hearing continued to 7/26.

7/26: Preliminary hearing continued by defense because Adrian Kamada is on vacation. New date is  8/21.

8/21: Preliminary hearing continued to 9/19 by DA. No objection by defense.

9/19: Preliminary hearing continued to 11/15 by defense because Deputy Public Defender Adrian Kamada who represents Ruise is in trial.

11/15: Preliminary hearing was scheduled. Public Defender's office relieved. Ruise has retained Mr. Mario Tafur. This is the second case where a defendant has chosen Mr. Tafur over a public defender. Setting of preliminary and motion to continue is on 12/18.

12/18: Motion to continue withdrawn by defense. Preliminary hearing scheduled for 2/1/24.

2/1/24: Preliminary hearing continued by defense to 3/14 due to possible retention of expert witness.

3/14: Preliminary hearing again by defense to 5/23 due to unavailability of expert witness.
