Nicholas Justin Hobart Brown arrested for domestic battery, criminal threats, false imprisonment and use of a firearm

Nicholas Justin Hobart Brown was arrested by Eureka Police Department for PC 422 criminal threats, PC 243 (e) (1) domestic battery, PC 236 false imprisonment and PC 12022.5(a) personal use of a firearm during a felony. He posted bond. 

EPD Crime Analyst Brittany Powell told me, "He was arrested on June 2nd on a warrant that stemmed from a domestic violence investigation.  He was at an apartment on the 600 block of W Hawthorne Street when he was taken into custody."

Hobart Brown was the founder of the Kinetic  Sculpture Race. His son is Justin Hobart Brown. Nicholas Justin Hobart Brown is Hobart Brown's grandson.

Arraignment for Nicholas Hobart Brown is scheduled for 7/14. The DA has charged Brown with Count 1 criminal threats and a special allegation that he used a firearm in the commission of a felony; Count 2 false imprisonment and Count 3 battery on a cohabitating partner.

7/14: Brown failed to appear bench warrant issued for $50,000. Bail bond forfeited.
