"Jane Doe 1 told Jane Doe 2 one of classmates touched her inappropriately. Jane Doe 2 started crying, then told each other about their dad touching them."

 

In Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm's opening statement yesterday in alleged molestor Sergio Reynoso-Lozano's jury trial, it was revealed that Jane Doe 2 is the half sister of Jane Doe 1. Lozano is Jane Doe 1's biological father.

"My dad would always have my sister sleep in the middle, he would get mad if she didn't but I risked his anger and slept in the middle." These are Jane Doe 1's words and the opening remarks by Ms. Timm.

"Ever since he put his hands down my pants, I wore tight pants but he still stuck his hands down my pants." These are Jane Doe 2's words.

When Jane Doe 2 slept in the middle, Lozano would spoon her, rub her breasts. Sometimes Jane Doe 2 pretended to sleep; sometimes she removed his hands; sometimes he stopped; sometimes he continued to use her for his own sexual gratification. Lozano rubbed Jane Doe buttocks and put his hand on her breasts. "These acts started when Jane Doe 2 was 9 years old and continued until she was 14. Jane Doe 1 experienced the same molestation which started when she was 9 years old."

Initially, Jane Doe 2 wasn't ready to come forward. CWS and law enforcement recorded statements on January 17, 2022. Christina Ryan, Jane Doe 1's counselor called Eureka Police Department and spoke with Officer Spencer Barrett. EPD Detective Nunez was assigned the case. CAST interviews were done on January 17, 2022. UC Davis psychologist Dr Anthony Urquiza will testify about Child Abuse Accommodation Syndrome.

"Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2 have nothing to gain forward with these allegations except to stop the abuse."

EPD Detective Raymond Nunez, Jane Doe 2 and Jane Doe 1 testified yesterday.  Jane Doe 1 will continue her testimony Monday. EPD Officer Spencer Barrett is expected to testify Monday.

EPD Det. Nunez briefly testified about being assigned to the case, interviewing Jane Doe 1 and 2's mother and grandmother and a woman in a relationship with Lozano, attending CAST interviews. Det. Nunez identified and described two photos, People's Exhibit 1 and 2 which are photos of Lozano's bed and bedroom.

The defense exercised their right to make an opening statement later. Judge Kaleb Cockrum is presiding over this trial. A mistrial was declared last year in the middle of jury selection by Judge Kelly Neel.

The 12 jurors consist of 8 men and 4 women and alternate jurors are three men. All jurors paying attention, wantimg to be there except one alternate who is even standoffish to his fellow jurors and gives off January 6 MAGA supporter vibes with a  Duck Dynasty look.
