Alleged molestor Dean Brown's preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 29. It was continued by defense to 8/3/21 for time to respond to the People's motion to amend the charges.
A hearing on the motion to amend charges and the preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 3.
Brown is currently charged with PC 288 (a), lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14.
Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm is the prosecutor for the case. Deputy Conflict Counsel R.J. Leohner is Brown's attorney.
8/3: Defense requested another continuance and court ordered to file a response by 8/16. Motion to amend scheduled for 8/19; preliminary hearing for September 13.
8/19: motion to amend continued to 8/25 when his attorney, Mr. Leohner, can be present.
8/25. Motion to amend granted.
