If you see this guy avoid him for your safety

 

First, I want to thank the amazing EPD dispatch who called back. I had called EPD but since the asshole with the filthy mouth started retreating, I decided it was best to go to appointments which this encounter almost made me late for due to the unexpected delay.

 

I didn't want this angry white male with a chip on his shoulder to attack someone else so I reported him.

The asshole in the picture above thought he could intimidate me.  Walked up to me out of nowhere, almost rammed his shopping cart into me on 4th street. He almost caused an accident with a car turning on to 4th street. He kept looking back at me and I was just walking. Then he started threatening me, cussing,called me bitch, the p word and threatened me some more. His ranting was unprovoked. He moved towards me swinging his fist. I told him to shut up and leave me alone. I warned him that I would call the police.

He dared me to call the police. He was pissed that I was still walking on the sidewalk and not threatened by him.  When he came inches close to me and then said, "call 911" and that he would "put his foot...", I took out my phone and dialed. When he saw this, he ran into traffic on 4th Street  and towards Burger King. EPD has a description.

Within last 10 minutes, I have run into another frequent criminal and more gmobs and thugs on 4th and 5th street. All interrupting and talking and delaying what should have been a 10 minute walk. I recognize some of them; they recognize me. Some are just random strangers.

Hannah Hayhurst is one of the many unfortunate victims caused by the failure of California and Humboldt's politicians to protect citizens from criminals such as this freak and Daniella Moore.

I showed his photo to several businesses I frequent and support in the area and downtown. Businesses don't need any more challenges than what they already face in Humboldt. Some recognized this guy from yesterday making the rounds. Maybe Eddy Alexander and the City of Eureka can use him in their next marketing brochure.

These violent attacks and potential violence do not happen in a vacuum. They happen to law abiding citizens struggling with economic despair, lack of housing, wildfires, pandemic closures and related impacts. And the daily violence and struggle is not borne by the morons who create this mess.

All I am doing is walking through town and minding my own business. This is the crap EPD deals with every day and what mental health resources are provided for them? Like most of us, a telephone line.

What do our local  elected officials do? I have done more to clean up this town of criminals, inform the public about relevant information than these pathetic, overpaid politicians who waste taxpayer dollars on their cronies and inept staff. I am not going over all the previous posts and examples. If you don't read this blog regularly; then start and do your own research. 

I get results. I have a nationwide audience of serious readers and professionals. 

I and others are tired of the constant hindrance to making a living and the lack quality of life caused by those who maintain the local status quo.

The City of Eureka is useless. While City officials and staff on the second and third floor cower and deny acccess (unless you make an appointment) to those who pay their salaries; while the most useless 4th District Supervisor and the rest of the Board of Supervisors continue to be a failure in addressing crime, homelessness or the many issues in Humboldt and can't be bothered to face constituents in person; the rest of us face daily danger and violence from angry drug addicts and bums.

All the Project Roomkey and other funds that hotel, motel owners received for housing and profited from, who is monitoring those funds. Are those people still housed or out on the streets?

All this rental assistance that Gavin Newsom is spending like monopoly money, who will get the money? Small landlords or just like PPP loans, those who dont need the money but have the connections and slumlords who hire lawyers who profit from grants and government money. How many private businesses are subsidized by government money in this town? No difference between you and someone collecting a disability check, food stamps or Medi Cal.

There are plenty others who have built their businesses on hard work and good marketing.

County servers constantly have issues. The site is barely readable for the last few days. I notified the County. Others have commented they cannot read any of the pages. So, Rex when are those servers going to be updated? I have mentioned the IT department to you for years. You haven't delivered on what was supposed to be done. Your IT department sucks. These failures cost people time and money.

Wilson and Madrone have zero business sense. Just like the current Eureka City Council. When private enterprise thrives instead of government money, send out a press release bragging about anything. The City of Eureka wants to take over more marketing when the streets smell like piss, trash is all over, abandoned vehicles and criminals all over the streets attacking other homeless individuals and citizens walking, shopping or going to work.

The people building fences around businesses are bleeding businesses dry because Humboldt elected officials are too busy making excuses for DHHS.

Either step up and start producing results for people other than you friends or family or you will be replaced. We do have a new 2nd District Supervisor, don't we? 

Many of us are struggling because of the lack of opportunity, lack of leadership and Humboldt small town sabotage and retaliation from weak, petty people. The very same people who have no clue about who the people are sharing information about them to media or anyone else. If you think the "EPD texts" making headlines nationwide is an exception, then keep living under the rock.

 

Cannot walk through town without seeing this on or some criminal on every block. Every closed business, storefront and person the street is failed leadership and misuse of taxpayer money. Own it Eureka City Council and Humboldt County Board of Supervisors.
