Not even a year in business, the Grind Cafe is going through an ownership change

Wonder if the Siren Song is going through ownership change as well?  I don't blame the staff. This place has been closed a lot due to staffing. I no longer go there because the owner, if it still JD Pegg, his actions in the last year show he does not care for customers or support his staff.

I have directly called/texted him when it is closed or to pass helpful feedback. And, all he does is make excuses.

Last July, when the Grind changed ownership, initially JD talked a good game and it seemed promising. He got mostly decent media coverage and word of mouth referrals from me and others.

Just like the cafe in the courthouse, it isn't COVID, it isn't staff, it is two owners who are not cut out to run a busy niche cafe. They want to charge a lot of money but do not deliver in customer service or food quality.

Previous owners knew how to appreciate the regular and built in clientele of attorneys, bailiffs court staff and regular customers.

Don't know who the new owner is for The Grind but it is going to take a lot more than just a new owner for many regulars to spend money in either place again.

Post COVID and with uncertainty about the future; people are more budget conscious. When a restaurant choses to stay closed and does so repeatedly with no warning like The Grind, people take their money and patronage to other local businesses where they are respected, get good food and service and can count on the place being open.
