Eureka City Hall open to the public with a few changes

I contacted both the City of Eureka and Humboldt County Board of Supervisors to clarify what is open to the public.

Most County offices and the Courthouse have been open to the public prior to the June 15 reopening. I have inquired specifically about the Board of Supervisors' office. City of Eureka has signs at the entrance but not everyone goes there regularly.

City of Eureka Assistant City Manager and City Clerk Pam Powell told me, "All of City Hall is open and has been Monday thru Thursday from 9 AM to 4PM.  We have been opened for visitors since April.  The difference in service delivery is that we now have the front counter staffed and individuals who need services from Planning and Building should  set up an appointment for projects. Everyone must check in with the front counter to visit other floors in City Hall.   Board and Commission meetings are also now held in person also."
