Ray Christie's attorney has filed a motion for new trial on July 9.
The motion is scheduled to be heard the same day as trial confirmation on July 26. Christie is already scheduled to be tried again and that date is August 9. The first trial resulted in a mixed bag of results.
As for the reasons for a new trial, I do have an idea about the reasons. I did take look at the motion. The DA has filed an opposition.
Will this effort be successful? The defense motion to dismiss was denied. Christie told me a writ filed was denied and that was confirmed by the information from the docket from the First District Apellate Court.
