Gavin isn't happy he has destroyed your freedom and your livelihood, your safety with criminals running rampant since they face no consequences; now he wants to make it harder to eat bacon or pay a fortune for the classic breakfast many enjoy.
Starting January 2020, California will begin enforcing an animal welfare proposition approved by voters in 2018. The legislation requires more space for breeding pigs, egg-laying chickens and veal calves.
National veal and egg producers are optimistic they can meet the new standards, but only 4% of hog operations now comply with the new rules.
The courts so far have nor ruled in favor of the pork producers and Gavin refuses to delay enforcement of the law. There are some legitimate reasons stated the pork producers and California Restaurant Association and you can google more details.
If California loses most of the pork supply; prices could increase by 60%.
I agree with better teatment of the animals but California needs to specify and enforce as well as sensibly have a plan to help implement and assist with funding for extra costs.
