Karen Schneider was arrested on July 19 for trespassing. Since her arrest, I have done investigation, research, checked court records and heard from other sources about the incident.
This incident affects the neighborhood. There are other parties other than Schneider involved. There is a Ring video of the incident. Schneider was allegedly at her son's residence at the time and according to sources, she got involved in a dispute involving her son and a neighbor. Schneider may be getting served with a request for a restraining order.
On Monday, there is a hearing on a restraining order filed against her son. The court records below are public information.
7/26: The petition against Daniel Bobillot was not granted by Judge Kelly Neel. She found the petitioner not credible.
Schneider sent me an email on July 2 and it was about the previous post. She marked it confidential. She had a chance to present her side.
I am not going to get into a discussion of whether her email or even parts of it are confidential or what is considered confidential because I would not have published the contents.
For several reasons. 1. Some of this information may come out in future court proceedings.
2. Other parties have knowledge of the incident
3. Schneider corroborated that video footage exists. I knew this before her email so I am not sharing any "confidential" information from her email.
4. My own investigation and research, so far, allows me to evaluate the validity or lack of validity of the contents in her email.
5.I have communicated with Schneider for over a year now and come to my own conclusions about her credibility, truthfulness, knowledge of the law. Even the last communication was a friendly one from her. Except for the last email marked confidential, the rest has no confidentiality or expectation.
6. From the time she contacted me about a situation that Fourth Supervisor Virginia Bass helped her with to other conversations we have had, I do not believe a word Schneider says anymore. The lack of credibility has grown over the course of a year due to a pattern.
Schneider lives in her own reality and is always the victim. She has been very ungrateful to people helping her, which includes Supervisor Bass. Her version never matches up after you hear the other side. Credibility matters.
7. I can very easily verify what people tell me. This small community; a lot of people trust me and a lot of people know each other.
8. In 18 years, I have a pretty good idea and my own personal experience with local people and agencies, so people should not try to use me or my blog, hoodwink me or make unsubtantiated claims. If #7 and #8 makes you wonder; then it applies to you.
I don't need to watch reality TV. Living in Humboldt and covering courts is live 24/7 reality TV. Ridiculous cases because people do not know how to behave or follow the law. Decades of those Humboldt locals, including other media, businesses and politicians, who ignore, enable and excuse this unacceptable behavior.
Start holding your peers, family and friends accountable. The rest of us constantly suffer and pay for waste of resources and the impact on our people's lives because of your denial and weakness.
When people are not held accountable, they wreak havoc on more people. When people are exposed on this blog; it benefits many others, you, your pocketbook and your quality of life.
Stop expecting law enforcement, the courts or me to clean up the mess they did not create.
Just because you have money in Humboldt that does not mean you are successful, deserve respect or earned it with your own hard work.
Not every one with money or connections or from local generational families makes headlines. Class and character have nothing to do with your bank account.
Law enforcement and court resources wasted daily because of those people in Humboldt who live like they are on the Jerry Springer show.
Let's see what happens and if the DA presses charges. Let's see what happens with the restraining orders. Both sides get to present evidence. That is only if there is a court proceeding and only if a case gets to a point where information is public.
We know that does not always happen.
We know court = justice. We know $ and local comnections make a difference in how you are treated. I don't even have to cite local cases anymore because you all know this is a fact; especially in Humboldt
