Housing advocates serve Pelosi with a fake eviction notice

40 housing and homeless advocates served a fake eviction notice on Speaker Nancy Pelosi's front door in San Francisco. They want her to reconvene Congress and extend the eviction moratorium.

The protest and notice was to remind Pelosi that millions of Americans will be facing eviction starting this weekend while she can sleep comfortably in her  home.

Excerpts of the notice was read to KCBS.

"Dear Speaker Pelosi, you are hereby given immediate notice that millions of Americans will face eviction tonight when the eviction moratorium expires."

We call upon you to immediately call Congress to session to vote to extend the eviction moratorium and keep people in their homes. We're in the midst of the second-worst COVID surge to date and this is not the time to allow evictions to begin."

"The reason that we're at her house is that she has a beautiful mansion in Pacific Heights in San Francisco, and it shows how out of touch she is with the people that are facing a situation [of eviction]," Chris Evans told Fox News.

Evans says the housing and homeless crisis was already bad in San Francisco but the pandemic made it worse with people losing their jobs and facing medical emergencies.
