No one besides jurors, court staff and attorneys allowed to be in court for jury trials

Effective Monday, August 9, 2021, in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and its variants, jurors will be socially distanced in the spectator section of the courtroom for jury trials.

With this operational change, it will not be possible for spectators to be present in the courtrooms for jury trials.  Public access to jury trials will be via YouTube with jury trial links posted on the Court’s website at https://www.humboldt.courts.ca.gov/.

There are no operational changes to other courtrooms/court proceedings at this time.

You may wish to access Humboldt Superior Court’s Jury Services video for additional information at:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QBI85pyAdw.

Pursuant to Administrative Order No. 2021-003 dated June 18, 2021, the wearing of face masks continues to be a mandatory requirement for all individuals on the court floors, in courtrooms, while conducting business in the Clerk’s office and while attending jury service.

Calendars continue to be posted daily on the Court’s website:  https://www.humboldt.courts.ca.gov/.

If you are represented by an attorney, contact your attorney; if you are self-represented, check the daily court calendars to confirm if your case is scheduled.  If you have a hearing scheduled, follow the directions on the Court’s website to access the hearing either by phone or computer. The Court continues to encourage remote appearances for court hearings, and links to appear by video and/or by phone are available on the Court’s website listed above.
