Victim gets restraining order against Kaven Dangerfield for five years

Kaven Dangerfield had an OR/bail hearing today. It was continued to Monday so Judge Christopher Wilson could review the preliminary hearing transcript. Bail remains as set, for now, but could be increased or be a no bail warrant.

In the civil restraining case filed against him by the alleged victim , Dangerfield was not in court. Judge Gregory Elvine-Kreis granted the restraining order for five years.

After arraignment on 8/18/21, his bail was reduced to $210,000.  Deputy Public Defender Wade Orbelian told Judge Wilson that Dangerfield cannot pay bail. He was only working part-time before he was incarcerated.

Deputy District Attorney Jane Mackie was present for the People.

8/23: Bail remains at $210,000. I checked on 8/28/21 and Dangerfield is still in custody.
