"It is the same offer I discussed with you."

 


Trial confirmation was scheduled on August 10 for former Humboldt County Building and Planning Department employee Patrick McTigue. 

Jury trial scheduled for 8/16 was confirmed but case may resolve at trial assignment.

Deputy District Attorney Steven Steward is the prosecutor. Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo is McTigue's attorney. 

Attorneys privately discussed the offer than Mr. Russo spoke with McTigue. "It is the same offer I discussed with you."

There are ongoing negotiations. Mr. Russo spoke with McTigue after the hearing today.

8/13: McTigue resolved his case with a plea today. 

Mctigue pled guilty to one count of PC 68 -  Accepting a Bribe as a felony and two counts of PC 487 Grand theft. He is guaranteed probation but jail time is open, up to 365 days.. The rest of the charges are dismissed with a Harvery for restitution.


Sentencing is October 5.
