(SCSO)

After posting bail which was set at a lower amount than requested by CHP, Ismael Huazo-Jardinez was arrested again by  Sutter County Sheriff deputies. He was booked for a DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.

Huazo-Jardinez was speeding when he crashed into a family’s trailer, killing three family members, including a 10 year old boy.
A 11 year old girl was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.

A CHP investigator advocated for no bail or for $1 million bail, but the Judge set it for $300,000.

According to the Sacramento Bee, Huazo-Jardinez was previously convicted of reckless driving and had several traffic citations.

According to a statement provided to Fox News, by  U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman Paul Prince,“Ismael Huazo-Jardinez is an illegally present Mexican national. "

"The U.S. Border Patrol apprehended him in Arizona and granted him voluntary return to Mexico in February 2011. He illegally re-entered at some point thereafter. "

"On Tuesday, May 7, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) (San Francisco) Fugitive Operations Team members apprehended Huazo-Jardinez. ICE used available resources to locate and detain him.  He will remain in ICE custody pending the disposition of his immigration proceedings.”
