Amy Smith just walked out of the courthouse glaring at me

I did not prosecute the case. I didn't make the decision not to do a SART exam or conduct certain tests.

The evidence is what the evidence is and anyone who read my daily coverage of  the casep should not be surprised the jury is deadlocked.

Cases filled with drama, cases where the evidence is not proof beyond a reasonable doubt is not my fault.

I feel sorry for Jane Doe #1. She has a loser of a biological father who was never there for her but now shows up at court glaring and acting like a jackass and being self righteous.

Amy Smith is Chad Smith's second wife. She knew what Chad Smith was like. She married him anyway. I saw them at the restaurant, I saw Amy Smith at the courthouse standing by Chad Smith through his first divorce. Meeting Chad Smith even for a few minutes would set off red  flags for most people.

The judicial process is not about emotions and opinions. Facts and evidence are presented.

People misdirecting their anger at me or Chad Smith's attorney or the system need to look in the mirror.

Every local sex abuse case is different. In some cases where there is drama and this is not just the Chad Smith case, the adult woman is always protected and portrayed as this perfect victim by the DA and her family and  friends.

The public and jurors dont know everything in every case. Not all evidence is presented.

In the Seng Yang case, during the preliminary hearing it came out that his wife walked in on her daughter and husband but the abuse continued until the daughter went to the police. Why wasn't the wife charged with being an accessory to forcible rape and a minor being forced to participate in making porn?

The defense does not get to present their side fully until jury trial.

Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer made a wise decision in the Andrew Cunningham case. She got a 20 year stipulated sentence and Cunningham waived his right to appeal. Had that case gone to trial, the result may or may not have been in favor of the DA.

Many of the local support organizations,  certain community members  and especially certain family members and friends in certain sexual assualt and abuse cases let their PC overzealousness give them tunnel vision about the weaknesses in a case. That does not help the survivor.

In the Cory Fisher case, he was not convicted on all the counts. He was found not guilty on the counts regarding the inmates.

No one locally has done detailed and regular coverage of the number of court cases or sex abuse cases as me. It takes and has taken an emotional and physical toll.

I have covered cases like the Randy Cook and Kailan Meserve ignored by other media at great personal and financial risk.

I have been there for many homicide, sexual assault and child abuse victims and their families, informing them of dates, their cases and helping them through the system. All this in addition to hours spent on this blog.

Those facts conveniently are forgotten by certain people if I dare present the facts about a case not convenient to their bias or agenda.
