"That is when he pulled his jacket off, that's when I seen the gun"




Preliminary hearing for murder suspect Antone Aubrey did start today but late this morning at 11:20 due to courtroom availability.
The hearing is in Courtroom 5 before Judge Christopher Wilson.

Victim is Angel Aubrey,  his sister.

HCSO Detective Jennifer Turner is the lead investigator for the People. Witnesses include three civilians. Time estimate is three hours. The first People's witness is Sophie Blake, second witness should be Moses Hurley. Blake was very emotional as she testified, breaking down on the stand.

Prior to the hearing starting, she was in the hallway very emotional and referred to Angel Aubrey as my sister.

Aubrey is charged with Count 1 murder. Special allegation for Count 1 is discharging a firearm during the commission of the crime causing great bodily injury or death. Count 2 is felon in possession of a firearm.

The case is being prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Candace Myers. Aubrey is represented by Mr. Russ Clanton.
