Evansizer was having lunch he heard gunshots. He yelled "active shooter" and warned the crew and asked someone to call 911. They all went running northbound to see if they could locate the shooter or a vehicle.
Seeing nothing, Evansizer ran back to see if he could assist Smith. He testified that he blanked out seeing the wounds on Smith.
