Matthew Owen, Humboldt's wannabe Bill Maher,  who has been ranting the same cut and paste for almost two decades still has a column in the Times Standard. Why? Even Lost Coast Outpost flushed the turd.

TS couldn't find anyone else less repulsive or  someone that people may actually want to read in all of Humboldt County? Someone showed me the vomit Matty Boy turned out in his latest My Word.

The man who did even worse than Arnie Klein and Michael Acosta in his failed bid for Eureka City Council and the blowhard who has been riding on Virginia Bass' coattails for years copied the Bill Maher script of attacking "wokeness." Like  Maher, Matty boy is fake with no principles, talentless, desperate for attention and an opportunist.

Samantha Luna back in court, this time regarding a restraining order

 

Last October, Samantha Luna had her criminal case dismissed because she successfully completed the terms of her informal diversion. That case was resolved on April 5, 2022.

Today, her name is on the court calendar because she isrequesting a restraining order against Rashaed M Johnson. 

This is an ex co worker. There is a TRO granted by Judge Gregory Elvine-Kreis but the request for permanent restraining order was continued because Luna failed to serve Johnson with papers.

Kudos to the Eureka Chamber of Commerce removing their Facebook posts calling Rex their "favorite."

Rex continues to double down like his chum Alan Bongio and show he is tone deaf and put up another Facebook post from an anonymous crony about how much he does for the community. 

"I am seeking all records relating to the sexualized comments of Supervisor, Rex Bohn."

 

Unless you are living under a Humboldt rock, by now you should know that First District Supervisor made a tasteless, sexual and inappropriate remark about a local female business owner last weekend at a Eureka Chamber of Commerce event.

Allen McCloskey sent the following letter about potential litigation to several people and local media including the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors, Humboldt County Counsel and Humboldt Grand jury.

Last year Gage James Sand was arrested for attempted murder, now he gets arrested by APD for felony committed while out on bail

 

Last April, Gage James Sand was arrested  by HCSO for PC664/187(a), attempted murder.

Today, Arcata Police Department issued a press release that Sand was arrested on January 30 for assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery, inflicting injury on a child and committing a felony while out on bail.

Just Jose Luna's sentence this week exposes Gavin's lies in shifting blame

 

Google Fresno DA and Gavin Newsom about their war of words. Then apply it to any multitude of Humboldt cases.

Those outraged by Jose Santiago Lomeli Osuna sentence in Humboldt this week or any other sentences which is a direct result of California laws need to place blame where it belongs. Instead of whining online and mostly anonymously, you should call, text or email Newsom and the California legislators who have failed at effective criminal justice reform.

No other media has been covering the Kevin Dikes case since his arrest. Certain media may now, just as they randomly follow up on cases days after a post has already appeared on this blog. 

Another continuance for Kevin Dikes, plea or trial dates finally scheduled?

 

At trial setting today for alleged molestor Kevin Dikes, future dates were set.

Defense had previously requested a continuance. A 827 petition has been filed. This a request for the release of records in a juvenile case.

The alleged victim's are  John Doe 1 who was 9 years old at the time of the incident at Dikes' residence on I street in Arcata. John Doe 2 was 10 years old  when the allegations were disclosed and that incident took place in Crescent City.

Smash and grab suspect needs to prove he paid bail from legit funds and faces increase in bail

 

On January 26, I reported HCSO deputies  sat around all morning waiting to see if smash and grab suspect Nathan Ruptak's preliminary would proceed. 

Alleged molestor held to answer for showing porn to a minor and other sexual offenses

 

Alleged molestor  Darrel Tatro was held to answer on all counts by Retired Judge Marilyn Miles after his preliminary hearing which started on 1/26 and concluded on 1/27.

Two arrests in 2022, now failure to appear for arraignment

 

Yesterday, Hillary Deskins failed to appear for arraignment. Judge Kelly Neel issued a bench warrant for $10,000. The case filed in 2023 is a merged case with her 2022 HCSO and APD arrests.
