For whack a mole coverage and day old news, go elsewhere

People who want live or unique local news and consistent original coverage read this blog and Kym's site. My readers check my sites several times a day.

I thank my regular readers who appreciate hard work, talent and time for their consistent support.

No other media has been covering the Kevin Dikes case since his arrest. Certain media may now, just as they randomly follow up on cases days after a post has already appeared on this blog.

Three of many such examples and recent ones are that I reported first about Logan Brewer Hearst being arrested on a juvenile warrant. After I already reported on Thomas Gowing's arrest, EHS and APD issued a press release. I reported on Miles Neiva consistently and not just a press release on his sentencing.

My priority and decisions on reporting on cases are based on charges and of interest to the community. My hunch from the jail log or following a case pays off because it is  based on hard work and developing leads.

I dont ignore cases based on who the defendant is and I dont do whack a mole coverage based on someone else's hard work.

Until the rest of this community gives proper credit and financial support to those of us who provide quality news as well as a community service and have done so for years with a fraction of the money and resources received by other local "media", will keep calling  out those of you on facts that you chose to deny or ignore because you are petty, spiteful and spineless.

If you chose to enable entrenched local special interests and  read,  promote and support local "media" with selective and lazy coverage, then you are complicit in the injustice and status quo of Humboldt you complain about constantly and you misdirect like cowards at the wrong people.

If you want whack a mole coverage and day old news or to read comments multiple times which are unrelated tangents by the same couple of people in online and Facebook cliques, some with multiple anonymous usernames, then go elsewhere.

If you knew who some of these people were on these other sites, you would realize you aren't getting new views or reaching the audience you want to reach.

Based on conversations with several local businesses, most of these elsewhere stats are not bringing you new or any business and you have told me you regret those advertising  choices.
