Anthony Manuel Burgess was booked on a bench warrant on February 8 for PC 3000.08(f), parole violation. "Creeper" aka Burgess was sentenced to 7 years in prison in 2017.
Arresting agency is listed as California Department of Corrections on the jail log. Jail has the same information. Burgess was released on parole.
I have requested clarification from HCSO PIO Samantha Karges about the arrest. She responded, "He was booked on a Parole Revocation warrant." Ms. Karges gave me the court case number if I wanted to contact CDCR for more information.
From past experience, getting information from CDCR is an exercise in futility. Way too many criminals in Humboldt. The list of repeat criminals getting arrested daily keeps growing.
