For approximately 4 hours this morning, from 3 a.m. to 7. a.m., almost 1,600 customers in Myrtletown had no power. Cause was power pole.
This affected areas near Myrtle Avenue and Edgewood and Lucas off Myrtle. This area has a lot of power outages caused by morons who hit power poles. It is an area with many elderly residents who have health issues. It is also one of the noisiest areas in Humboldt with cars speeding down streets 24/7 keeping EPD and HCSO busy babysitting idiots.
These fools should be forced to pay the restitution to the residents and businesses for all the cost of food, groceries and any health conditions exacerbated by their stupidity and selfishness. Take away their car and make them walk all over Eureka in freezing temperatures this winter until they learn respect and consideration.
Weather related outages cannot be controlled. Those caused by chumps because they are careless drivers and think they are driving on a drag strip can be prevented. How many car accidents, power outages in Eureka and Humboldt are caused by people drunk or high?
