At trial confirmationthis morning for local attorney Michael Acosta and Sarah Carroll, jury trial scheduled for February 27 was vacated. Trial setting and confirmation of counsel is scheduled for March 9.
Deputy District Ian Harris is now the prosecutor for the case. Mr. Harris is the third prosecutor who has been assigned this case. Ms. Andrea Sullivan represents Carroll. Mr. Zach Curtis is Acosta's attorney.
Acosta's attorney, Mr.Zach Curtis made an oral request for any Brady material concerning former HCSO Deputy Matt Tomlin and a motion to continue. Offers have been made by the People and resolution talks have been ongoing.
