I covered convicted molestor and former CALFire employee Miles Neiva jury trial and case. Neiva was sentenced 23 years to life in prison which is the maximum. He has 594 days in custody credits.
It took the jury less than a day to convict Neiva on all charges. Neiva was convicted of PC 288.7 (b) oral copulation or sexual intercourse with a child 10 years or younger and PC 288 (a) lewd and lascivious act with a minor under 14.
Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm was the prosecutor. Mr. Zachary Curtis was Neiva's attorney.
