"I want a speedy trial," says Creeper to Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo


Anthony Burgess was arraigned this afternoon for his most recent arrest. Intervention on September 7. Preliminary September 11 at 9:15 a.m.

Bail was set at $50,000

Burgess is charged with second degree armed robbery; special allegation that he personall and intentionally discharged a firearm during the commission of the alleged offense.

Deputy District Attorney Brent Kling is prosecuting the case. Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo was appointed to represent him.

Burgess had a cast on his arm.

  1. John, would the typical amount needed to get physically out of jail be 10% of the bail amount and a 'promise' to appear? Seems like a pretty heavy crime to commit and to be released for only $5k? Just curious. Thank you for your writing.

    1. Yes, 10%. Can be less because some bail companies charge a lower percentage for a client with a private attorney
