Update: EPD Crime Analyst Brittany Powell confirmed Wednesday morning:
"21 year old Ernesto Cuevas was arrested for resisting arrest and drunk in public. Cuevas was causing a disturbance at the hospital and once he was medically cleared he was booked into jail. "

"Eureka Police Officers just declared code 33 for officers who were in a physical altercation with a intoxicated male who was just taken by ambulance to St Joe ER.
The male subject reportedly was picked up by ambulance at the 1300 block of 5th St. According to witnesses, he was belligerent with the ambulance crew. Shortly after arrival at the ER, EPD units were summoned. Shortly after units arrived, a fight broke out. Shortly after the fight broke out, officers were code 4 and headed to jail with the subject. Officers now report subject is banging his head on the patrol car. "
