DUI not believed to be a factor in 299 collision involving Lance Britton

On the morning of Thursday, August 17^th, a driver sustained minor injuries after driving off of SR-299 and overturning down a steep embankment.

At approximately 8:48 a.m., 28 year old Lance Rayzacharias Britton of Hoopa was driving his Silver Chevrolet Monte Carlo westbound on SR-299 west of the Boise Creek Campground.  For reasons still under investigation Britton allowed his vehicle to drive off the roadway down a steep embankment where the vehicle rolled several times landing on its roof.   Britton was trapped in the vehicle for a short period of time.  Thanks to the help of medical personnel and the Willow Creek Volunteer Fire Department Britton was transported to Mad River Community Hospital for his injuries.   

DUI is not believed to be a factor and Britton was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision.  The California Highway Patrol Humboldt Area is investigating this traffic collision.
