Nicholas Leigl's hearing to reduce bail was continued until this morning at 8:30 a.m.
Deputy DA Luke Bernthal was there for this hearing. Mr. Acosta, summarized the same argument as last time. Different Judge though; Visiting Judge Bruce Watson.
Different result for Leigl this time.
Leigl released on OR until sentencing, which is December 4. His federal hold still needs to be addressed.
Last week, Visiting Judge Robert Crone continued the hearing and ruling After arguments from both People and defense. Judge Crone referred Leigl's case to probation for calculation of credits.
Judge Crone also wanted to hear more from when Deputy District Attorney Luke Bernthal, the prosecuting attorney in this case. Deputy DA Brent Kling appeared on behalf of the People at the last hearing.
