First, Gavin Newsom capitulated and did not close down all beaches in California. Then, he clarified his statewide order.
Aaron Hungerford resolves remaining DUI cases with three years probation
Aaron Hungerford resolved his remaining two 2019 cases today. Both were misdemeanor DUIs. In one case, Hungerford admitted to a violation of probation. In the other case, he pleaded guilty to Count 1 VC 23152 (a), admitted a prior and the special allegation for BAC. He was sentenced to three years probation.

Is Dean Lotter on admin leave or has he already been terminated?
According to sources, Eureka City Manager Dean Lotter was terminated by the City Council "this past Monday."

EPD says crime in Eureka has increased during SIP
Six weeks into the Shelter in Place order (SIP) and the Eureka Police Department (EPD) is as busy as ever. Self-initiated and proactive patrols are up 25% compared to pre-SIP, with an average of 93 self-initiated contacts or patrols a day. Many of these patrols include business security checks. Officers have learned which businesses are closed or have adjusted hours and have adapted their patrols accordingly.

Junkie injects himself and tells me he will leave when he is done
The peace in the alley lasted a day. I almost got a photo of him injecting. However, I was busy working on something else. It is not my job to monitor the junkies every day.
I asked him what he was doing? He told me and kept injecting himself and said, "I will leave when I am done." He wasn't even fazed that EPD would be called.
"At this point he is acting like some tyrannical king out of control that won't speak to the people."
Humboldt protestors will gather starting at 9 a.m today and they are only one of several rallies, demonstrations and protestors all over California speaking up against Governor Gavin Newsom and the statewide stay at home order .
