At trial confirmation for murder suspect Jason Miller this morning, Ms. Andrea Sullivan told Judge Cockrum she is waiting on a funding request and a report and that she had spoken to Deputy District Attorney Jessica Watson briefly.
Ms. Sullivan made an oral motion to continue the jury trial currently scheduled for May 16. Ms. Watson did not object and waived written notice. Judge Cockrum granted the defense request. Trial setting is scheduled for May 17.
Miller had pre trial scheduled in his assault case which is trailing the homicide case. He entered a time waiver in both cases.
5/17: Trial setting in homicide case and pre trial in assault case continued by defense to 5/20.
5/20: Trial confirmation 8/18; jury trial 8/29 in homicide case. Pre trial on both dates for assault case.
