"The Government's hands are filthy"

Will the Humboldt County District Attorney still use information from the federal raid in their case against Ray Christie after today's federal filings and the ruling on the federal motions scheduled for December 16. That date is before the December 27 evidentiary hearing on motion to supress and other motions in limine in Christie's Humboldt Superior Court case.

Will Humboldt County Deputy District Attorney Steven Steward still insist that the evidence siezed in the federal raid was legally obtained? Will the December 27 hearing be punted again?

As I previously reported, there have been no federal charges filed against Christie.

Unlike Mr. Steward, Assistant United States Attorney Leif M. Dautch did file response and Christie's attorney, Mr. Rick Richmond, responded by filing four documents and three exhibits today.

Excerpts from the documents.

I will just include one page and tidbit on the People's witness, James Geth, who testified at the first trial.

Exhibit B is just "Reggie's" linkedin resume.

There is extensive information on the federal filings in previous coverage and if you have read each post, some of this information will sound familiar.

In the Junior livestock auction photo, under buyer and supporters, you will see Josh and Natalie McCall. I checked both on Facebook and that is indeed HCSO Deputy Josh McCall mentioned above. The same livestock auction  Humboldt Sheriff Billy Honsal and First District Supervisor Rex Bohn attend every year. You will see many familiar names.

Some of the pages from Sgt. McCall's report:

In person request for an evidentiary hearing:

The last document is the order for the in person evidentiary hearing.
