Eureka City Hall "repeatedly burglarized over the Thanksgiving holiday"?

(November 29)

Eureka City Hall address is 531 K street.

I was just told right now that Eureka City Hall "was repeatedly burglarized over the Thanksgiving holiday.  A report was taken. It seems someone left a window open and video shows people coming and going. One guy was arrested. He was still inside this a.m. when the first employee showed up and called the police."

It was reported today. The jail log is a day late and I tried looking on EPD crime graphics for 11/29/21.

It is after hours so I will email EPD and City Hall tomorrow morning. The element of surprise is unfortunately necessary to get any transparency from Eureka City Hall.

This wouldn't surprise me given the miscreants that yell and scream and wander all day and night like zombies near and around Eureka City Hall.

I sent an email to EPD PIO Brittany Powell, EPD Captain Brian Stephens, City Clerk/Assistant City Manager Pam Powell and Eureka City Manager Pam Powell. I sent three questions.

The last one was 3. Miles, this is specifically for you. There have been numerous incidents around Eureka City Hall. I know from personal observation. What is the City Council/ you doing about it? (dont dump it on EPD) because this town has been taken over by criminals and bums who think they can park, loiter, piss, break in and steal. This City Council doesnt seem to think they need to enforce any city ordinances or take this huge issue seriously. I have not seen one EMC violation or a city attorney in court for several years.

11/30: A Kenneth Amin Mohamed was arrested by EPD for burglary at 7:13 a.m., according to the jail log. He has 28 cases in the system.

Ms. Brittany Powell confirmed. "36 year old Kenneth Mohamed was arrested for burglary on November 29, 2021."

Miles Slattery did respond briefly and is going to get back to me later.
