HumCPR litigation has been ongoing and civil lawsuits have a lot of details and go on and on. The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors spend money that is not coming from their personal pockets like money. Dollars that could be put to better use.
Ms. Allison Jackson's briefing was completed on the Appeal. The County filed a cross appeal and the county’s reply brief was due 9/23/21. On 9/24/21, the matter was fully briefed.
The county requested oral argument. Parties have been waiting for the court to put the matter on calendar for oral argument.
The County spends a ton of money wasting time fighting lawsuits and they do not win, especially not against Ms. Jackson.
The County already had one recent loss against HumCPR and there is another potential litigation from HumCPR regarding the rent moratorium.
