Melissa Renee Johnson Sanchez was arrested by EPD yesterday on an arrest warrant from HCSO for PC 32 accessory after the fact. Bail is $25,000.
EPD Crime Analyst Brittany Powell told me, "We technically made the arrest yesterday, however it was on a HCSO warrant. Johnson Sanchez came to EPD yesterday to check on her warrant. EPD confirmed the warrant and transported her to HCCF. "
This is Mauricio Johnson's mother. I have no idea yet if this is related in any way to the homicide case involving her son and convicted sex offender Von Keener or the warrant out for Keener who removed his ankle monitor and is wanted for a parole violation.
"California Penal Code 32 makes it a crime to harbor, conceal, or aid another person when you know they have committed a felony crime, and you acted to protect them from arrest, trial, conviction, or sentencing. Penal Code 32 prohibits helping someone when you know they have committed a felony crime."
