Thanks to Samantha; no thanks to the County

I got this response from HCSO PIO Samantha Karges just now. Thanks to her. No thanks to the County or County IT who should have issued a response the first time it happened.
"I just wanted to give you a quick update on the booking sheets. I saw that they didn’t post over the weekend or today. County IT has narrowed the issue down to being a problem over at the servers managed by the Jail Management System company, Beacon. Beacon has been working to fix it, but has so far been unsuccessful. I’m not sure why it’s just the booking sheets though, as everything else seems to be posting."

"Anyway, I wanted to let you know that it is being worked on and our jail staff have been continually following up with Beacon for updates/reminders to fix it. Hopefully it will get sorted out soon. Of course, you can always reach out to me if you need to check if someone is in jail or you need related information."

And as she noted, the problem is just with the booking log. I don't trust anything County IT says. The County needs to hire techs who actually know what they are doing. The County also needs to update their antiquated computer equipment and servers. I have been hearing  this server excuse for years and the Board of Supervisors has done nothing.
