Signs do not mean anything if you don't follow the rules. For months, there was talk that this barber was not following COVID 19 precautions. He is a lousy barber anyway. Safety is important when someone is using instruments that can gouge or cut you. I wouldn't get my hair cut there if it was free.
When you are situated a block from Eureka City Hall and few blocks from the Department of Public Health and on 5th street in Eureka where there is constant foot traffic and cars and you have to close your business, whose fault is it?
Word from his customers is that he called them to say he tested positive for COVID weeks ago. The place is closed. Asking your customers, "do you want me to wear a mask" and sharing not being vaccinated is not watching out for them.
Even pre COVID, I supported businesses who clean properly without it being mandated, care and have respect for their customers and their health.
