Do the local environment groups raise any money other than filing lawsuits?

I am not defending the County of Humboldt.

Both lawsuits involve CEQA and cannabis. The NEC lawsuit is joined by the Audubon society and the groups are challenging all the special permits for cannabis granted to Rolling Meadows Ranch.

At this point, I am not even shocked about any lawsuit is filed against the County.  In addition to making money from drugs and government subsidies, for some people and organizations in Humboldt suing cities in Humboldt and the County is their livelihood. Are they capable of existing without lawsuits?

What percentage of the funds for these organizations is earned by actual work that is not related to lawsuits? You won't see any other local media ask that question. But the same media will be tools and print anything about certain local environmental organizations/non profits and their lawsuits.

If these groups are so concerned about the environment, they would speak up about the needles, trash and disgusting smoke in Humboldt. And they would not sue just select cannabis permits.

More cost to taxpayers because the County and their Counsel are incompetent, more destruction of businesses and jobs that put food on people's tables and a roof over people's head from unnecessary lawsuits that could have been avoided.

Humboldt elected officials have made themselves an easy target because they can't be bothered to make competent decisions; they have been allowed to do what they want;  they hire incompetent people as department heads and ignore advice and warnings about litigation.

It isn't their money they are throwing away so why should they care? The ones who keep reelecting and funding these bufoons should bear the cost.
