The case has not been officially called yet but before break, Deputy Conflict Counsel April Van Dyke told Judge Kaleb Cockrum, "I will be declaring doubt on Mr. Whited today."
Setting of preliminary hearing and motion to exclude statements based on Miranda was continued to this morning in murder suspect Connor Whited's case.
The case was finally officially called after 10:35 a.m. Criminal proceedings were suspended. Dr. Wilson was appointed to evaluate Whited. Receipt of report is on July 30.
Deputy District Attorney Luke Bernthal is appearing on the case for the People. He told Judge Cockrum tjat "People were ready to proceed today."
