Fourth case, this one a hit and run and the warrant is held until October with a cite and release?

Brian Daniels had arraignment scheduled this afternoon for a fourth case.  He already has three cases pending in Humboldt Superior Court. They were not on calendar.

The charges for today's case are VC23153 (a), DUI causing bodily injury; VC2000.1 (a), hit and run involving injury and death and VC14601.2 (a), driving with a suspended/revoked license.

Judge Timothy Canning said Daniels had been ordered to appear. The bailiff checked the hallway.
A bench warrant was issued for $10,000 cite and release. It will be held until October 14 which is Daniels' next court date for his other cases.

Deputy District Attorney Jane Mackie appeared via Zoom for the People. Daniels' attorney, Deputy Conflict Counsel R.J. Leohner was not in court. Conflict Counsel Supervising Attorney Meagan O'Connell arrived in court after Daniels' case had concluded.
