"We can do one jury trial at a time."
Trial confirmation was scheduled today for murder suspect Brandon Watson. Jury trial for August 3 was confirmed by Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees as well as Ms. Andrea Sullivan.
Ms. Sullivan confirmed with a caveat. She expressed concerns about jury trials during the pandemic and asked how they were being handled locally.
"There is a possibility that the Chief Justice could suspend jury trials," said Ms. Sullivan.
Judge Canning said he did not know and regarding Humboldt, "we can do one jury trial at a time."
Judge Timothy Canning told there were no subpoenaed records in the file. Mr. Rees gave a time estimate of 8 weeks, including jury selection.
Count 1 is Murder. Special allegation use of a deadly weapon, a knife. Victim Peter Triantos.
Count 2 is assault with a deadly weapon. Victims listed in complaint are Antony Besselieu-Hill and Brian Edwards.
