Victim in Rio Dell homicide was alive when law enforcement first arrived on scene
Preliminary hearing for Demetrius Coleman and Alma Ahumadamendoza started this morning.
People have three witnesses: Rio Dell Sgt. John Beauchaine, an investigator and Rio Dell Police Chief Conner.
Coleman is charged with murder and special allegation that he personally and intentionally discharged a firearm which caused great bodily injury or death to Johnny Renfro.
Ahumadamendoza is charged as an accessory after the fact in the Rio Dell homicide of Johnny Renfro.
Coleman's attorney is Ms. Andrea Sullivan. Ahumadamendoza's attorney is Mr. Mr. Thomas Feimer.
Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is the prosecutor for this case.
Attorneys, defendants are in coury and witnesses are testifying in person with facial coverings and physical distancing.
Morning's testimony covered surveillance video of the scene, photo line up, eye witnesses and vehicles involved.
The last person Renfro spoke with in Rio Dell "prior to his death" at 3:45 p.m. was a woman who said she was supposed to come to her house "to retrieve some marijuana."
