Setting of an evidentiary hearing regarding competency of murder suspect Ryan Tanner was scheduled this morning.It was set for time certain on July 28.
Court schedules were full this week with other cases "more time sensitive" said Judge Kaleb Cockrum.
Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm is the prosecutor for the case. Mr. Russ Clanton is Tanner's attorney.
Mr. Clanton waived Tanner's right to a jury trial. All appearances for the hearing will be via Zoom.
Time estimate for the contested competency hearing is two hours. Dr. Jennifer Wilson, Dr. Martin Williams and DA Investigator Marvin Kirkpatrick will testify.
