Setting of preliminary hearing and motion to exclude statements based on Miranda was scheduled this morning in murder suspect Connor Whited's case. It was continued to July 8.
Judge Christopher Wilson said he had read pleadings from both parties.
Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees was present for the People. EPD Senior Detective Ron Harpham is the People's only witness. Time estimate is two and ahalf hours.
Deputy Conflict Counsel April Van Dyke is Whited's attorney. She was appearing for cases this morning but had a family emergency and Deputy Conflict Counsel R.J. Leohner appeared on her behalf.
