Wesley Starritt charged with prowling, possession of a firearm,domestic battery and battery and has two new cases



Wesley Starritt is scheduled to be arraigned  this afternoon on two cases. The complaints were filed today.

In one case,Starritt is charged with: Count 1, a felony charge; Felon in possession of a firearm PC 29800 (a) (1).  Count 2 is misdemeanor, PC 647 (h), one who " loiters, prowls, or wanders upon the private property of another, at any time, without visible or lawful business with the owner or occupant. As used in this subdivision, loiter means to delay or linger without a lawful purpose for being on the property and for the purpose of committing a crime as opportunity may be discovered." This case has a date of 5/26/20 associated which is the same date in the press release for Roger "Mitch" Clark.

The second case has three misdemeanor charges: Count 1 PC 243 (e) (1),  domestic battery on intimate partner. It is a "registrable offense."

Count 2 and Count 3 PC 242 battery. This case has  date associated of 5/15/20.

I don't have access to check court records so am getting information and so have limited information on the dates associated with the cases.

Staritt has previously been represented by the Public Defender's office. Starritt was arrested on May 27 at 1 a.m. Before that, he was arrested in April, six months after his release from custody.

EPD anticipates more charges against Starritt including arrest for the murder of Roger "Mitch" Clark. Starritt is on  "no bond" status.
