Target, CVS, Apple and Walmart have all temporarily closed certain locations due to protests over the death of George Floyd. This is due to safety reasons.
Target said it was temporarily closing 105 stores in 10 states, including 46 stores in California and 33 in Minnesota due to the protests over George Floyd's death. Target is also closing some stores in Colorado, Pennsylvania, Illinois, New York, Georgia, Oregon, Michigan and Texas. At some stores, hours are being adjusted. The recording for the local Target store shows no change in hours.
Target said employees at stores that are closed will be paid for up to 14 days, including premiums that they are earning because of the coronavirus pandemic. They will also be able to work at Target locations that remain open.
