Incident at 7th and N at same apartment complex where David Kobak shot Fred Loftus

I recognized the apartment complex where the incident at 7th and N happened this afternoon. I remember it from watching the body cam footage in the David Kobak trial. I mentioned that in my post earlier.



A former neighbor of Kobak's confirmed it. I am not publishing the former neighbor's name but the person is someone I know from Humboldt and have spoken with personally.

"Hi, John,

Regarding your blog post, it is the same complex.  Kobak lived at
1317, Apt B (on the ground floor).

There are three units at 1317, and three units at 1323.

All six units were (and probably still are) owned by the same property
owner.  I moved out in 2018, and several years before that, the owner
ceased being the landlord and hired a property manager.

Based on where the officers were standing, the standoff was probably
at 1317 B or C, or 1323 2 or 3.  If I had to guess, I would say 1317 C
(above B)."
