"All the early national experts, here’s my projection, here’s my projection model, they were all all wrong, they were all wrong.”

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo acknowledged today projections were wrong, increases in hospitalizations today are likely from infections before the reopening.

“Now, people can speculate, people can guess, I think next week, I think two weeks, I think a month. I’m out of that business, because we all failed at that business. All the early national experts, here’s my projection, here’s my projection model, they were all all wrong, they were all wrong.”

“Now, there are a lot of variables, I understand that.
We didn’t know what social distancing would actually amount to, I get it. But we were all wrong. So I’m sort of out of the guessing business.”

  1. 40 million people lost their jobs and tens of thousands of businesses destroyed.

He is a fool to only now realize how wrong he was.

  2. He WAS wrong: Cuomo should have closed the NYC subways and locked down the entire state sooner, when California did (March 19th).

"40 million people lost their jobs and tens of thousands of businesses destroyed."

"Non essential" businesses, you mean. And people who lost jobs can file for unemployment.

NYC has had 23,282 deaths so far. It was by far the worst hit area in the entire country.

The fact that you are still complaining as we near 100,000 deaths in this country is amazing.
