"There is no resolution, your honor."

Trial confirmation was scheduled this morning for Samantha Luna. Jury trial scheduled for June 15 was vacated and continued on the Court's motion.

Judge Kaleb Cockrum said there is currently a jury trial moratorium due to the coronavirus pandemic and jury panels are not available due to social distancing challenges.

Judge Cockrum asked attorneys if there was a resolution.

Luna's attorney is William Panzer. Deputy District Attorney Jessica Acosta is the prosecutor for this case.

Panzer said no. " He also said he had received "voluminous discovery" delayed due to the pandemic.

"There is no resolution, your honor," said Ms. Acosta.

Trial confirmation is on September 23; jury trial is on October 5.

  1. They need to give her 6 months in jail for public intoxication and assaulting the female officer. She refused to obey orders and they had to cut that officers hair for her to let go. She was clearly given the chance to shut up to de escalate the situation. She chose her own path. "Get it on video, get it on video". She wanted to be a world star queen. To bad she's just a clown.

  2. The officer wasn’t very skilled in handling the situation either. I know plenty of officers who could have deescalated the situation so it never got to that point.
The girl was acting entitled and dumb but the officer should have been in a better position than she was. She looked weak and out of control.
