Chad Smith did his typical "I am going to pull my time waiver today" move

Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads is the prosecutor for alleged molestor Patricio Segura's case. Jury selection is going on in that case.  Ms. Eads is also the prosecutor for alleged molestor Chad Smith's case. The DA filed a motion to continue Smith's third jury trial.

Deputy DA Roger Rees was in court for the People at trial assignment today.Judge Gregory Elvine-Kreis granted the motion finding good cause. "This isn't the kind of case that can just be handed over," he said.

Ms. Andrea Sullivan was court appointed to represent Smith. Her request for trial setting next week was denied by Judge Elvine-Kreis. She appeared via court call today. Smith pulled his time waiver today.

Trial confirmation rescheduled for December 5;  jury trial for January 6.
