In addition to Christopher Best, Wilson housed another molestor who was convicted in 2018

OR/bail hearing was held today for Humboldt Hill resident Gaylia Wilson who was arrested as a part of a child abuse investigation. At arraignment, her bail was increased to 110, 000.

Probation recommended denying Wilson supervised release. Retired Judge John Feeney followed that recommendation "out of concern of public safety" but without prejudice. Which means her attorney can try to get her released "if circumstances change."

Judge Feeney made his ruling after remarks by Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer stated her opposition to Wilson being put on supervised release.

Wilson was served with a no contact order in court today. There is more than one alleged victim that Wilson's co defendant Christopher Best allegedly abused.

It was revealed in court today that Wilson was aware of the sexual abuse of the adopted children "since at least 18 months ago." Two girls told her about the sexual abuse.

The investigation into her co-defendant, Christopher Best,  began in 2018 as a result of another case involving convicted molestor Everett Spillard who lived in Wilson's garage and abused children in the same home. Wilson tried to dissuade the children from reporting the abuse. The alleged victims in this case are adopted.

Ms. Schaffer said Wilson put the children"in a position to come to Court to tell their story."

Wilson told 15 year old John Doe " not to tell anyone and to keep things quiet since it is a family matter." She did this after the Spillard conviction.

"The children want her to stay in custody," said Ms. Schaffer. "They will not sleep if she is released." The children are also concernedabout their pets.

I covered the Spillard case. The most recent post is linked below.

Mr. Joe Judge was court appointed to represent Wilson. He argued that Wilson had no prior criminal history and owned a business since 2012.

  1. Does anyone know what pets the children have? I'm right down the street, I can help feed and care for them.
